NBA 2K20 MyTeam Galaxy Opal Lamar Odom Leads Way for New Prime Series III Cards

The month of May is here and while there is still some hope of an NBA season finishing out, gamers are honing their skills with 2K20. In NBA 2K20 MyTeam, Galaxy Opals are the best cards to get. Two more arrived on Friday, May 1 thanks to the New Prime Series III packs and boxes featuring Lamar Odom. Here are the latest details on his new card and which other players are available.

Lamar Odom, Danny Granger get new NBA 2K20 MyTeam Galaxy Opal cards

Gamers get a new NBA 2K20 MyTeam Galaxy Opal card in the form of 6-foot-10 small forward Lamar Odom. The former Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers star gets 25 Gold and 43 Hall of Fame Badges with this one.

Those HOF badges give you some of the best available skills including Volume Shooter, Pick & Popper, Range Extender, Tireless Shooter, Dimer, Ankle Breaker, Clamps, and more.

The other Galaxy Opal is for 6-foot-9 small forward Danny Granger. He’s got some great overall attributes, although a D in rebounding leaves something to be desired. Granger also has 15 Gold and 39 HOF Badges to utilize.

There’s a total of five limited-time players available through these packs as shown below.

  • Danny Granger (Galaxy Opal)
  • Lamar Odom (Galaxy Opal)
  • Eddy Curry (Pink Diamond) 98 OVR
  • Gheorghe Muresan (PD) 96 OVR
  • Cuttino Mobley (Diamond) 95 OVR
  • Nick Young (Amethyst) 92 OVR

Prime Series cards in packs or auctions

Gamers can randomly acquire the above players through the new Prime Series III Lamar Odom packs. These start for 7,500 VC or 10,500 MT for a 5-item pack. It’s going to cost 67,500 VC for a 10-pack box or 135,000 VC for a 20-pack box.

Odom’s new NBA 2K20 MyTeam Galaxy Opal card had listings going as high as 670,000 MT on PS4, as of this report. Danny Granger was going for over 300,000 MT. That’s relatively cheap, but as mentioned above he’s not the best when it comes to the rebounding category.

Eddy Curry’s card is going for close to 200,000 MT on some auction listings, while Muresan’s item is fetching about 40,000 MT. That’s not terrible for those in search of a big man possibly as a backup right now.

For those who want to grind and not spend so much, the NBA 2K20 Historic Spotlight Challenges are a great way to boost your MyTeam roster with some high-rated players.
