NBA 2K20 MyTeam: How to Get Galaxy Opal Kobe Bryant in 2K20

Fans were asking for it for quite a while and now it’s here. NBA 2K20 MyTeam now has a Galaxy Opal Kobe Bryant card available for gamers to add to their roster. It’s the best of the best when it comes to the late Lakers superstar, but will take a bit of work to acquire. Here are the details for how to get that Galaxy Opal Kobe Bryant in 2K20.

NBA 2K20 MyTeam Galaxy Opal Kobe Bryant card

Just over a week ago, NBA 2K20 MyTeam gave all gamers using the mode brand new Kobe Bryant tribute content. That included a Pink Diamond card and Spotlight Challenges focusing on some of the Mamba’s iconic career moments. While that was great, many gamers were hoping for a much better Kobe item and today that has arrived.

Here’s a look at the card art reveal as of April 21 from MyTeam. It’s part of their G.O.A.T. collection, which should include other superstars such as Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

As of this report, we’ve yet to see any of the attribute ratings for the card. However, one has to imagine it will have plenty of Hall of Fame Badges, possibly 40-plus for one of the greatest scorers and champions in NBA history.

How to get the GO Kobe card – grinding

NBA 2K20 MyTeam tweeted out the instructions on their Twitter on Tuesday (April 21). It’ll take quite a bit of grinding for gamers to earn the card. That includes completing the first Spotlight Sim Challenges to get the Galaxy Opal James Harden.

It also includes completing the new Historic Spotlight Sim Challenges for Hakeem Olajuwon GO. Those are set to launch on Tuesday (April 21) as well. That means it’s going to take a while to get the Kobe card.

Of course, the easiest requirement is to enter the locker code to get the Kobe Bryant Pink Diamond tribute card they released last week. Here’s a look at that code for those who missed it. To enter it, you’ll need to go into MyTeam and scroll over to the Extras area where you’ll see a spot to enter Locker Codes. The code doesn’t expire until December 31, 2021, based on the tweet below so don’t worry about missing out.

That’s what it takes to get the new Galaxy Opal Kobe Bryant. A lot of people believed that NBA 2K20 MyTeam should have made it easier to get the best possible Kobe card. However, those who believe in the Mamba mentality which includes putting in the work and effort to outperform your opponents may appreciate the grind.

Now that we have that Kobe, we’ll wait to see if the NBA 2K21 cover features the Mamba on front as well.
