NBA 2K20 MyTeam Unlimited Finals: Jomar-12PR Claims $250K Championship

As of Thursday night, a new champion has been crowned in the world of NBA 2K20 MyTeam. In the NBA 2K20 MyTeam Unlimited Finals in Chicago, Jomar-12PR bested The Klass Guy to become $250,000 richer. The tournament featured several of the NBA All-Star players also in attendance to witness the proceedings. Here’s a recap of what went down at the finals.

Jomar-12PR wins NBA 2K20 MyTeam Unlimited Finals

With their MyTeam lineups stacked with stars, the console champions Jomar-12PR and The Klass Guy would bring their game to the big stage. However, only one player would leave $250,000 richer as the grand champion. The first game would feature Jomar winning in a blowout. The PS4 champ defeated Xbox One champ Klass Guy, 91-67 in Game 1, with Damian Lillard knocking down plenty of threes.Β

In Game 2, Klass Guy kept it closer in the first half, as he tried to force a deciding third game. However, Jomar’s Larry Bird nailed a long three-pointer at the buzzer, making it a 10-point lead at halftime.Β The Klass Guy kept it competitive, as he was down just five points once the third quarter closed.

In the fourth, Jomar continued to knock down the long-range threes with his squad. It looked like it might be another blowout. TKG would respond with a three with two minutes to go to make it just a seven-point deficit. With 1:10 to play, another three from TKG made it an exciting four-point game.

With the shot clock expiring, Jomar’s far away three attempt failed. TKG cut it to two with a slam with just about 30 seconds to play. Unfortunately for TKG, Larry Bird became wide open and nailed a game-clinching three. Jomar wins Game 2, 76-71, and the NBA 2K20 MyTeam Unlimited Finals.

After claiming the championship, Jomar-12PR was presented a huge $250,000 check as his prize. 2020 NBA All-Star Donovan “Spida” Mitchell and Celebrity All-Star Ronnie 2K helped hold the $250K check on display with the new champion.
