NBA 2K20 Patch 1.08 Notes Released With Fixes For MyPlayer Nation & PS4 Pro

A new NBA 2K20 patch was released on Wednesday, November 12. This latest update brings a few changes that 2K mentioned specifically in addition to the standard line of “many, many more fixes to improve the game.” While we aren’t sure what all those other fixes are, we have a look at what has been updated according to the new NBA 2K20 Patch 8 notes.

Latest NBA 2K20 patch 8 notes indicate Neighborhood, PS4 Pro fixes

As one commenter mentioned on 2K’s recent announcement, the season is just a few weeks old and there have already been eight patches. However, the game has been out since September 6. The NBA 2K20 game had gameplay issues from the start, resulting in “fix2k20” trends upon its release. Slowly but surely, the 2K developers continue to address glitches, although there are still some issues gamers want to see fixed.

The PS4 Pro was giving gamers headaches with numerous gameplay glitches. Those included framerate drops at key moments in games. So anyone using the PlayStation 4 Pro may be able to actually enjoy the game a bit more if they’ve stuck around, as Patch 8 fixes many issues there.

With MyPlayer Nation, that’s a brand new mode that first arrived late last month via Patch 7. It involves community missions for MyPlayers working together. Rewards include various bonuses and in-game items. The NBA 2K20 Patch 8 will resolve bugs or glitches that may have been popping up with this newer mode.

Here are the official NBA 2K20 Patch 8 notes via 2K’s Facebook post:

  • Improved performance for PS4 Pro users.
  • Improvements to the MyPLAYER Nation feature in MyCAREER. Help lead your team to the title!
  • Fixed an issue that would sometimes prevent users from joining their friends in the Neighborhood, and/or would sometimes load the invited friend into the wrong location.
  • Many, many more fixes included to improve the overall experience of NBA 2K20!

More fixes needed including jumpshot issue?

A lot of gamers from the community are upset over the lack of transparency in that final sentence, as they mention other games provide more details in their patch notes. In addition, there are other issues involving MyCareer and badges that gamers would love to see get fixes. Basically, the glitches are far from gone even with NBA 2K20 Patch 8.

One gamer posted the tweet below involving a jumpshot issue after the patch. Most likely there will be a few more patches on the way as NBA season continues.

The NBA 2K20 game is currently available for Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Windows PCs, and Nintendo Switch. Visit the 2K website for more details.
