The newest packs to hit MyTeam arrived on Friday with the NBA 2K20 Showtime Packs. These particular packs and boxes include new cards for players that have appeared in movies. Among the stars are Kyrie Irving aka Uncle Drew and Shawn Bradley from Space Jam fame. While they simply have Diamond cards, there are some sweet new Galaxy Opals for four players including GOAT cards for Magic and Kareem.

NBA 2K20 Showtime packs feature Magic, Butler, Webber GO cards

Just recently, we looked at the new NBA 2K20 Finals Spotlight SIM Challenges with a GOAT Larry Bird Galaxy Opal available for completing all of them. Now days later, we have another few GOAT cards to add to the available player items. In NBA 2K20 Showtime packs, gamers can acquire a GOAT Magic Johnson Galaxy Opal card.

With Magicโ€™s newest Galaxy Opal, MyTeam fans can get a 99 overall card that has 99 Playmaking and 98s for everything else. Heโ€™s also got almost every badge imaginable with 11 Gold and 63 Hall of Fame. That includes Fancy Footwork, Giant Slayer, Ice in Veins, Dimer, Deadeye, Ankle Breaker, Floor General, and Clamps. Magic is joined by two other Galaxy Opal players in Jimmy Butler and Chris Webber. Other cards are available for LeBron James, Nate Robinson, Shawn Bradley, and Kyrie Irving as shown in the tweet below. However, there’s also GO Rashard Lewis, PD Danny Manning, PD Penny Hardaway, Diamond Hot Rod Williams, and Diamond Muggsy Bogues.

The reward for collecting all 13 of the cards is a Galaxy Opal GOAT Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem previously had a Galaxy Opal Buzzer Beaters card with 93 OS, 98 IS, 81 Playmaking, 98 Rebounding, 93 Defending, and 92 Athleticism. That item had 15 Gold and 34 HOF Badges.

The new GOAT version of Kareem has much-improved attributes with 99 Rebounding and Inside Scoring, along with 98s for the other categories. Kareem also gets 10 Gold and 62 HOF Badges for this upgraded item. Check out more details for the card at MTDB’s listing here.

What are the 2K Showtime card costs?

Unless you have tons of extra MT to spend on buying the cards, you may be forced to try your luck in the MyTeam Market. Right now, the NBA 2K20 Showtime Packs start at 11,250 VC or 10,500 MT. It’s 15,000 VC or 17,250 MT for the Deluxe Pack containing five cards. There is at least one Guaranteed Showtime player inside those. There’s also the 10-pack box for 135,000 VC.

For those with deep pockets when it comes to MT, hitting the Auction listings is an option if there’s a specific card you want to add. The GO cards will be the costliest. Right now, Magic is going for as much as 2.35 million Coins on the listings for PS4.

Rashard Lewis listings are as high as 1.5 million Coins. Jimmy Butler is going for a modest 132,000 MT at most, but there are a lot of listings just under or above 100k. Chris Webber seems to have the lowest sales of the GO cards at just 100,000 Coins each.
