What’s included in the game demo?

The new NBA 2K21 demo allows gamers to test out some of the new gameplay using four different teams. Among them is the all-time Los Angeles Lakers team featuring the late, great Kobe Bryant. He’s also the cover star for the Mamba Forever Edition and would have celebrated his 42nd birthday this past Sunday.

In addition to Kobe’s Lakers, there’s also the all-time Boston Celtics, giving gamers one heck of a matchup to play with. Just two other teams are included and they’re potential NBA Finals opponents. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are available along with Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Using the teams gives gamers an early preview of NBA 2K21 gameplay features. including the new shooting system. There’s also a look at a new in-game feature, the Courtside Report.

As with last year’s demo, also included is the MyPlayer Builder. With this feature, gamers get to test out different builds including a number of new build options. The good news is that whatever gamers create on MyPlayer Builder for the demo can carry over to the full game for use there.

The full NBA 2K21 game arrives on September 4, 2020, for all of the above consoles. It’ll be available for the next-gen consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year. Visit the 2K pre-order page for more details.
