NBA 2K21 MyTeam Adds James Harden Nets Big 3 Challenge and Heat Check Moments Packs
On Thursday, NBA 2K21 MyTeam unveiled a brand new James Harden Nets Big 3 Challenge along with Heat Check Moments Packs. The Harden Challenge lets gamers test their luck against Brooklyn’s new trio of players to potentially win some extra rewards. With the new Heat Check packs, it’s possible to acquire some limited-time player cards including Dallas Mavs phenom, Luka Doncic.
James Harden Nets Big 3 Challenge arrives following trade
There have been plenty of great Big Three star combos over the years. There’s the Celtics’ Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen. Or there’s the Heat’s LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. Some would even argue the Bulls may have started it with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman.
The Brooklyn Nets now have their Big Three in place as they added James Harden to the roster via a blockbuster NBA trade. It was a four-team deal involving Harden’s former Houston Rockets along with the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers. Harden is now teamed up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving under first-year head coach Steve Nash.
For the NBA 2K21 MyTeam challenge, gamers are trying to take down the Nets’ new Big Three. The objective is to be first to 21 points using any three MyTeam players against the trio of Harden, KD, and Kyrie. Doing so will bring a reward of three MyTeam Tokens, good for spending at the store to acquire special player cards.
NBA 2K21 MyTeam Packs: Heat Check Moments and Throwback Moments available
There are also several new NBA 2K21 MyTeam packs currently selling in the store. The newest are the Heat Check Moments Packs which feature limited-time cards. As of this writing, there are two cards featured with a Diamond Luka Doncic (94 OVR) and Amethyst Nickeil Alexander-Walker (91 OVR) of the Pelicans. Five-card packs sell for 7,500 VC or 10,500 MT. A 10-pack box is 67,500 VC, while a 20-pack box is 1350,00 VC.
There are also Throwback Moments Atlantic packs and boxes available. These celebrate players involved in special moments from the league’s Atlantic Division. The top items available are Jason Kidd (96 OVR) Pink Diamond, Allan Houston (95 OVR) Pink Diamond, and Paul Pierce (94 OVR) Diamond cards. Additional players include an Amethyst Michael Carter-Williams (91 OVR), and Ruby Walt Williams (89 OVR).
These packs also start at 7,500 VC or 10,500 MT, with boxes at 67,500 or 135,000 VC, respectively. In addition, gamers can check out the Auction listings to scoop up specific players from the packs for MT. Kidd and Houston’s cards were going for 100,000 MT or more, as of this report.
There’s another way to possibly add these players to your lineup for free. NBA 2K21 MyTeam also handed out another free Locker Code (below) for a chance to get one of the new Throwback Moments Atlantic packs.
