NBA Live 19 Content Update Brings Roster Moves, Crazy 8 Gum Pack, & Vince Carter Bug Fix

On Thursday, EA Sports released a new NBA Live 19 content update with a slew of fixes and changes. Among them are the release of a new Crazy 8 Gum Pack in the store, a number of roster moves, and some special bug fixes. Those fixes go out to “Half Man, Half Amazing” aka Vince Carter. Here are more details about what’s new in NBA Live 19 for content and changes.

NBA Live 19 Content Update: Crazy 8 Gum Pack among new store content

There is no shortage of new content that came with this latest update for January 10. One of the main pieces of content highlighted by EA on their Twitter feed is the new Crazy 8 Gum Pack. Sneakerheads are fully aware of these kicks. They dropped back in 2014 and are Kobe Bryant classics from Adidas. The Crazy 8 Gum Pack are now part of NBA Live 19 to outfit your ballers with. Check out those sweet colorways below.

Those particular shoes were just a few out of many new pieces of in-store content released. In previous updates, we got those NBA Live retro Jordans. This new update includes retro updates too such as three different Reebok Shaq Attaq kicks, and even more Air Jordans. For the newer kicks, there are Nike LeBron 15s, several new Dame 4 and Harden Vol. 2 sneakers, among other selections. Basically, NBA Live 19 continues to win a style war when it comes to outfitting players in their basketball game.

NBA Live 19 Content Update: Roster Moves, Vince Carter issues fixed

With a new content update comes a batch of new roster moves and Playstyle updates. A total of 10 players are part of the latest roster moves. The bulk of those are guys that are now free agents, for the time being. Wayne Selden and Justin Holiday also join their new teams with proper jersey numbers.

  • Cameron Payne (FA)
  • Ron Baker (FA)
  • Lorenzo Brown (FA)
  • James Nunnally (FA)
  • Patrick McCaw (FA)
  • Michael Carter-Williams (FA)
  • Marshon Brooks (FA)
  • Wayne Selden (Bulls #14)
  • Justin Holiday (Grizzlies #7)

As the NBA season goes on, there’s also noticeable styles of play for certain players in the league. That brings a large bunch of Playstyle changes in this content update. For example, some players with the update include Ben Simmons (Floor General), Brook Lopez (Stretch Five), Kris Dunn (Lockdown), and Kyrie Irving (Slasher). Check Uncle Drew’s play below for evidence of that slashing style he brings to Boston.

By the way, EA also resolved an important issue related to Vince Carter. No, it wasn’t to adjust him to a Playstyle of “Elder Dunker” or “Senior Scorer.” However, now the former Slam Dunk champion’s “assets” will now appear the right way in the Hoop Dome bonus and throwback games. That’s good news, as the legend of “Vinsanity” continues in NBA Live 19.
