NBA Live 19 Content Update For Feb. 21: Lineup Changes, Ratings Boosts, & New Store Gear Available

The NBA All-Star Game is in the books after Team LeBron took down Team Giannis this past Sunday in Charlotte. The weekend’s events included the Rising Skills Challenge, Three-Point Shootout, and Dunk Contest, among other events. With the new NBA Live 19 content update, they give recognition to many of the top stars over the course of the weekend. In addition, there are some new team lineup changes and special gear to look out for.

NBA Live 19 content update: Ratings adjustments

In a previous NBA Live update, traded players moved to their proper teams. In this new update, a total of 11 players received slight ratings adjustments. In particular, every winner from Friday and Saturday’s special contests received a one-point boost. Rising Stars Challenge MVP Kyle Kuzma went up to an 82 OVR. The Skills Challenge winner Jayson Tatum is now an 86.

Meanwhile, Three-Point Shootout winner Joe Harris is a 77 and the new Dunk champion Hamidou Diallo is a 71. Each of these players also saw particular skills improve based on their wins. So for example, Diallo has improvements for his Dunk and Layup abilities.

Other notable rising players are the Raptors’ Pascal Siakam (80), Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic (89), and Spurs’ LaMarcus Aldridge (89). Just a few players dropped in terms of ratings, and only by a point. They were Jevon Carter and Jerryd Bayless, who also have decreased skills.

NBA Live 19 content update: Lineup changes

The content update also changed four different team lineups. They’ve adjusted the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, and Toronto Raptors. Three of these teams currently rank amongst teams that would qualify for the postseason, while the Timberwolves are fighting for a spot down the stretch. Some gamers are suggesting a lineup change for the Wizards is still necessary too.

In addition to these updates, gamers will see a number of Court Battles players upgraded to new numbers. Some of the examples include Diana Taurasi (93), Julius Erving (94), and LeBron James (95). There are a total of 20 players shown here at the EA forum post.

NBA Live 19 content update adds new store items

A wide variety of new store items also arrive with the new NBA Live content update. For shoe updates, there are the brand new Jordans in the store (as seen below). Gamers will want to cop the Black Cat and Wheat styles of those or possibly some of the newest Adidas Crazy 8 USA pack shoes. Those new shoes are the latest in the lineup after the previous Adidas Crazy 8 Gum Pack.

In addition, the new NBA Live 19 content update brings new Mitchell & Ness “Gold” items as well as top performer jerseys from All-Star Weekend. They represent players mentioned above that won events such as Kyle Kuzma, Joe Harris, and Jayson Tatum. Additionally, All-Star Game MVP Kevin Durant has a jersey as do retiring All-Star legends D-Wade and Dirk Nowitzki.
