There has yet to be an official announcement of NBA Live 19, but it’s never too soon to start thinking about the potential release date, features and more. In fact, we’re probably only a few months away, considering that NBA Live 18 came out on September 15th last year.
One of the questions we’re starting to ask is, “Who is going to be featured on the cover?” Here are our top 5 NBA Live 19 cover athlete predictions!
5. Lonzo Ball
As the 2017 NBA Draft second pick and the Lakers’ starting point guard, Lonzo Ball has made a name for himself not just as a skilled player, but as a leader who knows how to motivate his entire team and play to their strengths. He’s handled the pressure placed on his rookie shoulders admirably, and would be a great pick for the NBA Live 19 cover.
4. Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid has been a huge deal this past year both because of his amazing skill and because of his social media presence, which has generated quite a lot of buzz on Twitter and Instagram. His massive fan appeal is undeniable, and he’d be an awesome choice for the cover of NBA Live 19.
3. DeMar DeRozan
DeMar DeRozan was recently benched, but the game in question was pretty disastrous all around. Setting that aside, he’s an All-Star player and generally a major boon to his team’s offense. Even with his recent time on the bench, he deserves consideration for a spot on the cover of the next NBA Live game.
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo
Greek athlete Giannis Antetokunmopo is one of basketball’s up-and-coming stars. He’s done a great job playing for the Milwaukee Bucks this year, and he’s taken on a leadership role which is likely only to continue to grow. If he doesn’t get featured on the NBA Live cover this year, we wouldn’t be surprised if he graces the cover in a future year.
1. LeBron James
LeBron James may be the most obvious choice for the cover of NBA Live 19, but that doesn’t mean he should be overlooked. As arguably the greatest-of-all-time basketball player, he is the ultimate star athlete right now, and deserves the highest honors. That includes a place on the cover of the next NBA Live game.
