NBA Live 19 Title Update Brings LeBron James Ratings Adjustment, Kawhi Leonard Generics, & Lineup Changes

On Thursday, EA Sports dropped a brand new NBA Live 19 title update to adjust team lineups and player ratings. One interesting ratings adjustment came for LeBron James amongst other star players. In addition, NBA Live 19 added a bunch of new gear for gamers to pick up. Here are more details on what to expect with this new title update.

NBA Live 19 Title Update: Lineup change issues?

We’ve passed by the NBA trade deadline and teams are in the playoff push or playing out the season ahead of the draft. The newest update for NBA Live adjusted 10 different team lineups for the game. They include the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Cleveland Cavaliers. Kevin Love returned to the lineup for the Cavs recently, as did Clint Capela for Houston. There are other interesting changes to the NBA Live lineups, though.

A few gamers already noticed some discrepancies for the Nuggets and Grizzlies’ adjustments. In particular, Memphis seems to have put Ivan Rabb at center while Jonas Valunciunas is listed at power forward. Those should be switched. Also, Will Barton isn’t the Nuggets point guard as he backs up Beasley usually at the shooting guard. Hopefully, EA will get these right in the near future with another NBA Live 19 title update.

NBA Live 19 Title Update: LeBron’s adjustment, Kawhi’s generics

In addition to those 10 team lineup adjustments, a number of players received ratings adjustments. A total of 15 players have mostly upgraded ratings including Dennis Smith Jr. (83) of the Knicks. Three recent All-Star players also received a boost. They include Nikola Vucevic (87) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (93) who each are up a point. LeBron James is also there, but has “no change,” at least for his 96 number. However, they note they’ve “Decreased defense” on King James. That makes sense based on recent play in which James has been criticized for not playing as hard defensively for the Lakers.

For gamers looking to use some new NBA player gear, that’s also available with this new title update. As shown in the tweet up above, Russell Westbrook is one player with new gear. The update added his Jordan Why Not Zer0.2: “Future History” kicks. His OKC Thunder teammate Paul George now has Nike PG 2.5: “Anthracite” kicks as did a bunch of other players. However, Raptors All-Star Kawhi Leonard received “EA Generics.” That makes sense as New Balance may not be established in the game quite yet. Still, generics may be a bit harsh.
