NBA Live 19 Content Update For Rosters, Player Likenesses, Injuries, & Dennis Smith Jr. Trade Rumors

On Thursday, January 17, the NBA Live crew provided a brand new content update to keep it real in the game. That means a number of player likenesses were updated, as well as key injuries and inactive players for NBA Live 19 teams. One of those players is the Mavs’ Dennis Jr. as NBA trade rumors swirl about his future. In addition, there were some other minor fixes and tweaks included in the new NBA Live 19 content update.

NBA 19 Live Content Update: Player Likeness Updates

Sports video games like to keep the looks of their athletes as accurate as possible. That’s especially true with NBA Live as gamers will notice if a player has a different hairstyle or a new part of their on-court gear. For example, several of the players are using 3/4 leggings, sleeves, or new wristbands on the court now. Others debuted new kicks. NBA Live has adjusted for these aspects in their game.

Harden now has got a double right rubber band for his wrist, he’s wearing medium socks, and the Harden 2 by Adidas. Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook received multiple adjustments. Russ has 3/4 leggings, KB3 bands, and a pro Hyperstrong sleeve on his arm, as well as “Why Not?” shoes.

Other players included in the likeness update are the Memphis Grizzlies’ Pau Gasol, Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell, and Atlanta Hawks rookie Trae Young. The full list of updated players is:

NBA Live 19 Content Update: Roster Moves including Dennis Smith Jr.

The Dallas Mavericks’ Dennis Smith Jr. has been in headlines lately as the subject of NBA trade rumors. The NBA Live 19 content update lists Smith as one of the inactive roster players and cites three reasons for it. They are injury, coach’s decision, or “trade pending.” Smith Jr. was listed with a back injury for three games and then with an illness.

Once again, EA’s NBA Live crew is on top of the headlines. Smith is on the inactive/injured list for the Mavs’ roster. If a trade goes down ahead of the deadline next month, expect Smith to be placed on his new team roster in the game.

In addition to Dennis Smith Jr., there’s another Smith inactive on a roster. The Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith has been on hiatus for quite some team. It’s a struggle in Cleveland since LeBron James left, and there were rumors the team might try to move Smith as part of a deal. So far, nothing has materialized there, but he’s been inactive for the team.

Three inactive injured players are listed with Smith’s Cavs’ teammate Kevin Love along with the Warriors’ Damian Jones and Mavs’ JJ Barea. Eight teams also received starting lineup adjustments including the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, and Los Angeles Clippers. In addition, Patrick McCaw has joined the Raptors and they’ve got his No. 1 jersey too.

Along with all of those player and roster adjustments, a few other fixes are part of the new content update. These mostly involved bug fixes in “Live Events Data,” to account for certain player likenesses not appearing.
