New Kratos and Atreus God of War Figurines Coming From NECA

Fans of God of War and physical collectibles may have a new release to mark on their calendars. Since its release, and incredible success, God of War has licensed a number of different collectible items. These have ranged from the vinyl edition of the game’s soundtrack to collectible figurines. Now, retailer NECA is planning to release another set of God of War collectible figurines, due out in November.

The Upcoming God of War Figurines

The two NECA figurines will be available in a single two-pack. Including both Kratos and Atreus, the pack also includes several accessories, and Mimir’s head. (Technically making it a 3-character pack, but Mimir is understandably quite a lot smaller than the others!) The largest figurine, of Kratos (unsurprisingly), stands around 7 inches in height.

The accessories included with the pack are three effect accessories; three are designed to resemble flames while a fourth more closely resembles frost. In addition, there are six weapons included in the pack; Atreus’ bow, the Leviathan Axe, and two different versions of the Blades of Chaos; their original polished look, and the older versions which appear in the latest God of War game.

The New God of War Figurines Come With a Variety of Accessories

Unlike the figurine released by Mondo for San Diego Comic-Con, the upcoming release from NECA features both Atreus and Kratos (and Mimir). The Mondo figurine was perhaps a tad more detailed, but it was also a solo figure. It stood taller, at 12.5 inches in height, and featured interchangeable heads; allowing fans to display it as the younger Kratos, or as his older, bearded form. NECA offers several other God of War products, however, including one rather impressive, life-size foam figure of Kratos carrying the Leviathan Axe. The two new figurines do not have a precise release date as of yet. However, they have been scheduled to release in “November 2018.”
