Andre Reed, LTD Matt Birk among new Madden 20 Legends cards

EA’s Madden 20 Legends has been adding three new players each Saturday for the past several weeks. This weekend brings three more with one limited-time card and two others. Gamers can acquire Andre Reed, Patrick Surtain, and Matt Birk. The three football stars now have Boss Legends items available as shown below.

As seen in the screenshot, the overall ratings keep getting better as the season goes on. The Madden 20 Legends card for Matt Birk is a 94 OVR, while Reed and Surtain get 93 OVRs. All three include various Power Up and Chemistry options on the front as well.

The Matt Birk LTD card, in particular, may now be the best center in Madden Ultimate Team. Many gamers were possibly using Kevin Mawae at the spot prior to this release. Gamers might pick up the other Legends players depending on the team theme of their MUT squad.

How to get Birk, Reed, and Surtain’s new items

To get Madden 20 Legends cards requires landing them in packs or via auction. The Matt Birk 94 OVR card is a limited-time card in packs. That usually lasts for the weekend. However, Birk’s card will be on the Auction Browser along with Reed and Surtain after that. Depending on the player and card, they can cost a lot of Madden Coins.

Andre Reed and Patrick Surtain have six different Legends cards including the Boss Legends shown above. To get the Boss Legends cards for Reed or Surtain requires putting together a set of their five other “non-Boss” Madden 20 Legends cards. For example, Andre Reed’s set includes his 85, 86, 87, 89, and 91 overall cards as shown below.

All three players also have new Madden 20 Legends Solo Challenges available for gamers to play. These challenges have up to five Stars available for defeating them. One Star is Easy, Two Star is Medium, and Three Stars is Hard.

In addition, there are two bonus Stars available for completing in-game goals. For example, bonus goals for the Reed Challenge include completing 15 passes and getting two passing touchdowns.

Earning one Star brings the player’s Power Up item. Additional Stars bring more rewards including Madden 20 Coins. For those who prefer to skip the challenges, the Power Up items are usually available through the Auction Browser for Madden Coins.
