New WWE 2K20 Gameplay Videos Show The Fiend Match, Royal Rumble, & Career Mode Footage

Many WWE video game fans have been frustrated over the lack of the 2K20 content ahead of the game, but with Monday’s new rollout, a lot more has been revealed. A number of different online content creators are showing off superstars’ entrances and matches via WWE 2K20 gameplay. That includes Hell in a Cell and the Royal Rumble. In addition, a YouTuber has given gamers more footage to see what the new Career Mode will look like.

WWE 2K20 gameplay footage includes The Fiend match, Royal Rumble, & Career mode

The videos that have arrived showcase various matches or aspects of the upcoming WWE 2K20 gameplay. Two of those videos give a look at how some of the matches translated into the latest installment. In this one from StaxMontana, gamers are treated to a Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt Hell in a Cell match.

Check out 15 minutes of video footage from the WWE 2K20 game including The Fiend’s cool new ring entrance (without music due to copyrights). Rollins’ entrance is also there and a nice addition is the crowd yelling out “Burn it down” just like they do at events when Rollins’ music pauses.

In another content creator’s YouTube video, there’s a 30-man Royal Rumble WWE 2K20 gameplay footage. It involves a look at more of the roster in action as part of the match. Some of these superstars haven’t been shown before in terms of entrances or in-game footage. The first superstar shown is Buddy Murphy’s entrance which was already revealed by 2K weeks ago. However, next up is The Miz’s entrance which hadn’t been revealed yet.

The cool thing with this video is not only the gameplay footage showing off certain superstars but that it also includes the crowd’s countdown for each competitor. In addition, the theme music is on for this one. There won’t be full entrances for everyone, but at least their 2K20 music gets some play.

Career Mode video footage also arrives

The new WWE 2K20 career mode is a groundbreaking feature for the game. It will include gamers controlling male and female MyPlayers together in this year’s mode. They’ll have to progress through quite the adventure as we previously saw in the Career mode trailer. It includes The Undertaker, demons, fire, Papa Shango, and regular wrestling matches too.

Chris Denker provided gamers with an in-depth look at the first hour or so of the Career mode in his video. That includes the initial MyPlayer creation and various screens as well as cutscenes. Keep in mind there may be some spoilers in this video which goes for 48 minutes, so those who want surprises from the mode or story may want to avoid it.

Denker mentioned that gamers will mostly have a very similar initial creation stage to create the new2K20 MyPlayers. You can customize fighting style, skills, name, entrance, moves, and abilities. He also notes there are two brand new abilities that are part of the mode as compared to 2K19.

Probably the coolest thing that Denker mentioned is that this year’s game allows gamers to “customize weapons.” Basically, he said gamers can choose which weapons to have available under the ring for matches. Those are just a few of the tidbits mentioned in Denker’s revealing new Career mode video.

Overall, these three videos provide gamers with a good look at some of what to expect in terms of the look and feel of matches as well as Career Mode. So far it has a great look to it and should bring some new features fans will enjoy, even if there will be lingering complains or “want list” items.
