NHL 20 Player Ratings for Top 10 Players Revealed Including Sidney Crosby, Conor McDavid

After a weekend’s wait, EA has officially revealed their top 10 players for the new NHL 20 player ratings. The top 10 list is the best of the best in the league including fan favorites such as Conor McDavid from the Edmonton Oilers, Patrick Kane from the Blackhawks, and Sidney Crosby from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Let’s take a look at who made this year’s top 10 spots.

Crosby, McDavid battle for top spot in NHL 20 player ratings

Two players are considered above the rest when it comes to the top 10 overall players in the game. They are the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Sidney Crosby and Edmonton Oilers’ Conor McDavid. However, McDavid is the king of the NHL 20 player ratings for another season, based on EA’s system. He’s a 94 overall, but it’s his 96 rating for Speed that helps distance him on the ice from his fellow players, both literally and figuratively.

McDavid is just a point ahead of the Penguins’ Crosby in the upcoming game. There are plenty of gamers in the community who feel he should be the best overall player for NHL 20, and that’s always possible the way player ratings can change based on real game performances. Here’s a look at Crosby’s likeness in the upcoming hockey simulation title.

Kucherov, Ovechkin, & MacKinnon round out top five

That leaves eight other players and they are also right up there when it comes to the NHL 20 player ratings. Here’s a look at the entire top 10 for the upcoming game:

  1. Conor McDavid (Oilers) 94
  2. Sidney Crosby (Penguins) 93
  3. Nikita Kucherov (Lightning) 92
  4. Alexander Ovechkin (Capitals) 92
  5. Nathan MacKinnon (Avalanche) 92
  6. Patrick Kane (Blackhawks) 91
  7. Victor Hedman (Lightning) 91
  8. Drew Doughty (Kings) 91
  9. Andrei Vasilevskiy (Lightning) 91
  10. Carey Price (Canadiens) 91

After what we saw with players ranked No. 11 to No. 20, there are plenty of games who will be fighting to be amongst the top 10 this season. A lot of players in that particular NHL 20 group have 90 ratings, and we see quite a few here with 91s. In addition, MacKinnon, Ovechkin, and Kucherov are all poised to make cases for the No. 1 spot if they a spectacular season. There’s also the notion that players in the list can fall from grace, but that remains to be seen.
