Leak Suggests Overwatch 2 Won’t Have Old Progress

Overwatch Leak Update 1.40

If you have been following the leaks regarding Overwatch 2, you might have heard this but if not, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Recently, a Twitter user named ‘Metro’ has been leaking Blizzard’s upcoming plans for the BlizzCon. This is the same user who leaked Ashe before the official announcement last year before BlizzCon which was spot on and correct.

Last week, he said that Blizzard will reveal Overwatch 2 after a short cinematic. Recently, during his live stream, he said that there have been some leaks that players won\t like to hear. And later, he tweeted that. “Currently, there are no plans to be able to transfer items or progress from OW 1 to OW 2. Please don’t take this as a fact, I think if Blizzard changes one thing, it should be this. Again, this is current plans and hopefully not set in stone.”

But, as he said, don’t take any of this as a fact since this is not officially confirmed and can be changed. But, for players who spent a lot of money on Loot Boxes, they will be angry to lose all of those rare skins, voice lines, and even sprays. What are your thoughts on this?
