Having fun playing the free games available right now through PlayStation Plus? We are too, but we already are wondering what the new year will bring! We have had so many awesome experiences through PS Plus in 2019, and now we are looking forward to 2020 with anticipation. What will the PlayStation Plus January 2020 free games be?

PlayStation Plus January 2020 Free Games: When To Expect January’s Free Games Announcement

It is typical for Sony to announce the PS Plus free games on the final Wednesday of any given month. So, on Wednesday, December 25th, we would normally get the announcement. But, being as that is Christmas, we would not be surprised if the announcement is made a few days earlier or later than usual.

PlayStation Plus January 2020 Free Games: December Selection

So, as we wait to play January’s free games, we can enjoy December’s amazing PS Plus free games selection. Games we get to play for free in December 2019 include Titanfall 2 and Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame.

PlayStation Plus January 2020 Free Games: January Predictions

Now, let’s talk about what we might be playing for free as we head into the new year in January 2020.

Our first prediction is DmC: Devil May Cry. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne hit consoles back in September of this year, but the upcoming PC release in January is a great reminder of the many worlds of Capcom, all of which are worth diving into. DmC: Devil May cry released in 2013 and last was free through PS Plus in 2014 for PS3. So, as it has yet to be free on PS4, maybe now is a good time.

Or, how about a different Capcom game, maybe Dragon’s Dogma? This game originally came out on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. In 2017, it was ported to Xbox One and PS4. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen was free for PS3 in 2013. But Dragon’s Dogma has yet to be free for PS4 through the service. Maybe it will be in January 2020.

Our next pick for January 2020’s free games list would be AO Tennis, which came out on PS4, Xbox One, Android and iOS in January 2018. “AO” stands for Australian Open. No other game before AO Tennis was officially licensed for the event, nor has it ever been free through PS Plus. With AO Tennis 2 coming out on January 9th, now is the perfect time to make it so!

Finally, why not another game by Big Ant Studios, the developer behind AO Tennis? If we don’t get to play AO Tennis 2, maybe we can play Cricket 19, released in May of this year.

And those are all of our PlayStation Plus January 2020 free games predictions! Keep an eye on our PlayStation news section to find out if any of our predictions come true.
