Pokemon GO Ultra Bonus Event Unveils Regular Mewtwo Raids And More

Niantic has recently announced the rewards for the unlockedPokemon GO Ultra Bonus, which has been completed by the game’s community through the summer.

Everyone expected Niantic to drop the bomb about the 4th generation of Pokemon getting added to the game. Instead, what the company announced is another series of events for the following month.

The Pokemon GO Ultra Bonus event includes another round of legendary bird raids, regular Mewtwo raids and regional pokemon added to 7km eggs for a limited amount of time.

For everyone’s peace of mind, The Pokemon GO Hub has collected all the information you need to know about the upcoming events along with their starting and ending times:

Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres in raid battles from September 13 at 1:00 PM PDT until September 20

  • Features increased Kanto spawns worldwide and new Kanto specific raid bosses from September 13 – 30

Mewtwo is joining regular raid battles on September 20 at 1:00 PM PDT and lasts until October 23 at 1:00 PM PDT

  • No word on Shiny Mewtwo, and no word on Mewtwo day, we guess this is a Mewtwo month?

Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr.Mime and Tauros will be available in 7 KM eggs, allowing everyone to complete their Generation 1 Pokedex entries.

  • According to the Japanese version of the official article, only Eggs picked up from Sept 13th, 1 PM PDT – Sept 30 will contain Gen 1 Regionals

Undeniably, the new events are only a temporary fix to the game’s lack of new content over the past two months. However, it gives the opportunity to players to complete the remainder of their Pokedexes before the brand new Pokemon come in.

Additionally, the Mewtwo regular raids lets everyone that can’t attend the EX raids catch the legendary Pokemon without having to get too hardcore.

Is it time for the 4th generation of Pokemon to get released? The deadline gets another delay, pushing their launch to mid-October. We hope that there won’t be any more anticipation from then on.
