Pokemon GO Will Get New Shiny Versions During Yokosuka Event

The last live event of this summer in Pokemon GO will take place this weekend in Yokosuka. The Safari Zone live event will include new shiny versions for Wingull along with previously unseen Pokemon in the area.

The Yokosuka Safari Zone live event will take place from August 29 to September 2, in Yokosuka, Japan. During that time, players that attend the event in one of the three parks mentioned will get their hands on exclusive new shiny Wingulls and get a chance to catch Grass- and Flying-type Pokemon Tropius and Unown.

Note that you’ll have to apply through the Yokosuka City’s special website in order to attend the event. Before you do that, you should know that there are no special raids during the event, so if that’s the reason you’ll be attending then you’re out of luck. After you apply you will be provided with a barcode which is necessary for you in order to access the venue at the given day.

The Yokosuka Pokemon GO Safari Zone event will be held over the course of five days, but gameplay is designed to be a single-day experience, according to Niantic. In order to give as many Trainers as possible the chance to take part, participation is limited to the day listed on each ticket. If a Trainer somehow manages to obtain multiple tickets, they will only be able to find special Pokemon on the day the first ticket is claimed.

As for the rewards, Pokemon like Feebas and Torchic will be frequently found throughout Japan during the event, along with a shiny form of Windgull with green wings instead of blue. Wingull will also be found frequently worldwide, so wherever you are go get yourself a brand new Wingull.

After that, the last Global Field Research challenge will most likely take place, which will be the last one for this summer. Make sure to check VGR to find out more about Pokemon GO.
