PS5 Pre-Orders Already Out of Stock

So, you want to pre-order a PlayStation 5? Well, good luck, because you are going to need it. PS5 pre-orders did go live, but they sold out almost immediately across retailers online. Let’s take a look at what is going on with pre-orders for the next generation Sony console.

PS5 Pre-Orders Already Are Unavailable at Retailers Online

First of all, for your convenience, here are quick links to the pre-order pages on major retailer sites:

Technically, pre-orders were supposed to go live today, but they actually started yesterday. In almost no time at all, supplies ran out at each of these retailers. We have seen comments, however, that some of them have had limited restocking. When we checked, everything was sold out at all of the links above. And we have been checking repeatedly throughout the day.

As of right now, nobody knows how soon there will be major restocking, but we can guess that once it happens, supplies will again sell out almost instantly. So, subscribe to notifications at these sites. But you may want to proactively check them throughout the day, as there are reports that notifications have been going out after supplies sell out. In other words, the system cannot keep up with the speed at which people are snapping up these pre-orders.

Two versions of the PS5 are available. One is the $499.99 full version that comes with an optical drive. The other is an all-digital $399.99 version. Although Sony has increased production to try and keep up with heightened demand, it seems likely that it will be challenging to get one of these consoles on the November 12th release date. So, be ready to jump on an opportunity to pre-order a PS5 if you get one, and keep up with our PlayStation news.
