Sony has been working hard to secure timed PS4 content exclusivity for several high profile games. Along with Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and Destiny 2, Red Dead Redemption 2 has now made the list. A new trailer for Rockstar’s highly anticipated sequel reveals the timed exclusives PS4 players can access when the game launches.
Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Timed Exclusive Items
The timed exclusivity period will last for a total of 30 days. Certain items from both Red Dead Redemption 2’s story campaign and Red Dead Online component fall under the exclusivity purview. The 30-day window means Xbox One players should get access to the story mode items towards the end of November. Xbox One users will have to wait longer for the online items since Red Dead Online won’t launch until November.
As for the items themselves, they include a unique outfit, horse, saddle, and weapon. A full breakdown of the timed exclusive items can be found below.
- Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit – Available in both story mode and Red Dead Online on day one.
- Red Chestnut Arabian Horse – Availably in Red Dead Online on day one.
- Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle – Available in Red Dead Online on day one.
- High Roller Double Action Revolver – Available in Red Dead Online on day one.
According to this PlayStation blog post, several of the timed exclusive items come with specific stat bonuses. The Red Chestnut Arabian Horse has better speed and handling than other tier one horses. The Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle, meanwhile, grants increased health and stamina to your horse. The High Roller Double Action Revolver has unique cosmetic details and a faster rate of fire than most other revolvers.
