The Resident Evil 2 remake is chock-full of hidden secrets and unlockables ranging from hidden characters to weekly challenges. One such unlockable is an unbreakable version of the combat knife, a handy tool to have in a pinch. In this guide, we’ll explain how to unlock the unbreakable combat knife.

To unlock the unbreakable combat knife, you have to find and destroy all 15 of the game’s Mr. Raccoon toys. You might have seen these toys during your casual playthroughs as they’re pretty hard to miss.

Any destroyed Mr. Raccoon toys carry over across playthroughs so if you already destroyed some, you’re ahead of the curve! We’ve listed the locations for all 15 Mr. Raccoon toys below. The list also specifies whether you need to find a toy as a specific character (Leon or Claire). Also note that the final toy can only be found in a “Second Run” scenario (or B scenario).

Mr. Raccoon Toy Locations

  • On the north wall of the RDP Station’s West Office, first floor (either character)
  • Behind some boxes and a computer monitor on a desk in the S.T.A.R.S. Office, second floor (either character)
  • Underneath one of the targets in the RPD Parking Garage Firing Range (either character)
  • Behind some bags near a bunk-bed in the RPD Station’s first floor Break Room (Leon only)
  • On a small table in the East Hallway on the station’s second floor (either character)
  • On a shelf in the East Storage room on the station’s third floor (Claire only)
  • In the hallway beyond the third floor Clock Tower, on a windowsill (either character)
  • Inside the broken-down bus on the way to the Orphanage (Claire only)
  • In one of the Nursery cubby holes on the Orphanage’s second floor (Claire only)
  • In the corner of the room right after the mutated crocodile chase sequence (Leon only)
  • Right next to the large incinerator doors in the Sewer Incinerator (Leon or Ada only)
  • Behind some boxes in the hallway right outside the Sewer Supplies Storage Room (either character)
  • On a counter at the back of the Lab Cafeteria (either character)
  • Inside one of the nap pods in the Lab Nap Room
  • In some bushes near the RPD Station’s side entrance gate (either character, Second Run scenario only)
