Following the recent launch of the GTA Online Los Santos Summer Special, the first major update for GTA Online this year, Rockstar has begun a new week-long event which gives players an extra incentive to try some of the new content; “Galaxy Superyacht Week“.

“This week, take to the high seas for a perfect storm of high stakes and hijinks,” writes Rockstar; “Yacht owners can continue to earn Double Rewards on A Superyacht Life: from scavenging a local wreck to shooting it out with Speedophiling interlopers. Call Captain Darcy up on your iFruit, speak to the skipper in person on the bridge of your vessel or join up with other players to take on these six Contact Missions.”
These superyacht Contact Missions were all added in the Los Santos Summer Special update. Thse include missions like Salvage, where players set out to salvage a sunken wreck, and All Hands, where they fly custom Tulas and drop water bombs to put out a fire at the country club. Not only can players get double rewards on all these missions, but completing any one this week will also net you the Six Figure Tee as a bonus. In addition, Galaxy Superyacht Week also features double rewards for all Transform Races and triple rewards for Trap Door matches.
As per usual, the weekly event is also offering a range of discounts on in-game purchases. As you might expect, these include a 30% discount off all Yachts and Yacht upgrades. You can also get 30% off a wide range of vehicles, including all boats. Discounted helicopters include the Buckingham Akula, Swift, Swift Deluxe, Volatus, SuperVolito, and SuperVolito Carbon, as well as the Nagasaki Buzzard. Finally, you can also get 30% off the Imponte Ruiner 2000, HVY APC, and Principe Deveste Eight.
As a final bonus, any player who connects their Social Club account to Prime Gaming will get GTA$200,000. (Note that it may take up to 72 hours after logging in for this to arrive.) Prime Gaming users will also get the Vespucci Canals Nightclub property and two further discounts; 70% off the Grotti X80 Proto and 80% off the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire.
