Rumor: PS5 State of Play Presentation Scheduled for August

We are so close to November, and we still have a lot of unanswered questions about the PlayStation 5. When are we going to get to find out more about the new console? Well, it might be sooner than you think. According to a recent rumor, a PS5 State of Play Presentation could be just around the corner.

Will There Be a PS5 State of Play Presentation This Month?

The rumor about a PS5 State of Play presentation for August originates from Venture Beat journalist Jeff Grubb. If he is correct, it should take place during the first half of August. Since he didn’t know what the date of the presentation might be, it seems like it could literally happen any day now. But the most likely date range according to him is between the 5th of August and the 11th. As Grubb is a solid source, it seems like the rumor of a State of Play presentation for August is likely to be true.

If the State of Play takes place, we can expect to learn more about the PS5 itself. What about games? Maybe the Silent Hills remake will show up, or perhaps the multiplayer component of The Last of Us Part II. But those are just a couple of the possibilities. There are a ton of different games Sony might decide to showcase during the event.
