Fallout 76 Side Quests: How to Complete Tentative Plans

Tentative Plans is a side quest which you’re likely to stumble upon relatively early as you progress through the main story. Although not a part of that story, the quest does serve as an introduction to the game’s C.A.M.P. system. It also features one of the best robot characters in the game, who the Fallout 76 Tentative Plans side quest is definitely worth seeking out.

How to Complete the Fallout 76 Tentative Plans Side Quest

To get started with the Fallout 76 Tentative Plans side quest started, you’ll need to head for Morgantown Airport. As you progress through the main story, you’ll come here relatively soon after leaving Vault 76 and completing the Responder orientation in Flatwoods. Indeed, you have to have completed the “Second Helpings,” and “Thirst Things First,” quests to start Tentative Plans; both quests which you do in Flatwoods for the Responders.

In the airport terminal, head up to the second floor and find a usable terminal. There should be an option on it for “Volunteers: Advanced Training,” which you’ll need to read. Doing so will start the quest. Once you’ve listened to the “Volunteer Training: Campsite 101,” tape, head for Responder Miguel’s campsite. This location is on the northern border between the Forest and Toxic Valley, deep in the wilderness.

When you arrive at the campsite, you should find a rather unique protectron standing watch over it. Speak with the robot, who will tell you to return to the airport for a particular holotape; the “Camp Guide Program 3.4,” holotape. Before leaving Miguel’s camp though, be sure to read the Camping Syllabus left in his tent.

When you return to Morgantown Airport, you can find the holotape you need near Miguel’s terminal. This can be found inside one of the corrugated iron bunkers outside the airport. Return to the protectron and hand over the tape. If you haven’t already done so, you’ll now need to set up your C.A.M.P., as well as build a generator, stash box, and cooking fire. With the quest complete, you’ll gain random ammo and aid items, screws, and the Silver Lining, a modded leather torso armour piece.
