The Doggfather himself Snoop Dogg has officially joined Madden 20! Snoop is now one of the newest available players for a special mode in the football simulation game. The hip-hop star joined several actual football players who will now be options for Madden 20 Superstar KO mode, one of the newest parts of the game this year. Here are more details on his arrival and which other new players are also in Superstar KO.

Madden 20 Superstar KO adds Snoop Dogg, Randy Moss, & more

Snoop Dogg is generally known for his catalog of music hits dating back to his days collaborating with Dr. Dre in Long Beach, California. However, he’s also a major sports fan and in a fun addition, EA’s Madden 20 Superstar KO now has him in the game as a wide receiver. They rolled out a series of images and a brand new video trailer on Twitter on Thursday (Oct. 17) to show off Snoop and other players as joining Superstar KO.

As shown above, the other new Madden 20 Superstar KO players include Hall of Fame defensive star Ray Lewis, and receiving threats Randy Moss along with Terrell Owens. All four players will become available as options to add to teams through playing Superstar KO mode.

Snoop Dogg joins several other celebrity hip-hop stars in the mode. DJ Khaled and Lil Yachty were part of Superstar KO when it launched weeks ago. Snoop Dogg plays on offense and provides a unique threat for gamers to unleash on the gridiron.

Here’s a look at Snoop scoring on a deep pass to win a game in Superstar KO before celebrating on stage with his team coached by the Rams’ Sean McVay.

In addition to Snoop and other new players joining the Superstar KO, EA also added a brand new squad. They’re called Rhythm and feature a west coast playbook. So be on the lookout for that if you’re addicted to the mode.

How does the mode work in the game?

We first reported about Madden 20 mode just after the game launched. The mode is different than anything players experienced before in the lineup of football sim titles. It has just a small group of customized “base” teams with different coaches and limited playbooks. Ahead of entering the game, gamers get to choose a few star players to be part of their team.

With Superstar KO, the games are much faster paced as each player tries to be the quickly score a touchdown on a single drive. The drive continues until a player either scores or turns the ball over.

There are no punts, field goals, or kicks whatsoever, it’s simply four downs and a drive to try to get a TD. Of course, interceptions and fumbles can also come into play. After a touchdown, gamers have to go for the two-point conversion. After each gamer has a chance to score, either one team wins, because the other didn’t score, or it is tied.

In the event of a tie, gamers go into a “Tug of War” mode where each player gets a try at scoring. However, it’s only one down per team to try to do so making it an even more frantic and pressure-filled game.

The winning player gets to add another Superstar KO player to their team. Basically, they chose a player from the opponent’s team they defeated. Some of the options include top NFL stars like Russell Wilson, Ezekiel Elliott, Patrick Mahomes, and Jalen Ramsey. There are also various football legends as well as celebrities like DJ Khaled and Snoop Dogg.

After four-straight victories, a gamer’s team is the undefeated champion. Of course, along the way comes Experience Points and other rewards in the mode. So far, it’s been considered a win for EA as a good number of gamers seem to enjoy Madden 20 Superstar KO.
