Super Mega Baseball 3 Release Date Revealed as New On-Field Gameplay Video Arrives

After several intriguing video reveals, there is finally an official Super Mega Baseball 3 release date to report! In addition, we’ve learned more details about the game as far as pre-orders and demos go. Here’s what we know as of today regarding the exciting new baseball simulation title along with a new gameplay reveal video.

Super Mega Baseball 3 release date moved, pre-order and price details

As we mentioned in our previous SMB3 reveal video report, the game’s release timeframe was supposed to be coming in April 2020. However, that has changed as they revealed a Super Mega Baseball 3 launch date for May 13, 2020. That’s roughly three weeks from today’s report so there will be a bit of a wait for those waiting to get started with all the cool features.

On the tweet above, they also answered general Twitter questions including one about pre-orders and cost. There won’t be any pre-orders for any of the platforms. Unfortunately, there won’t be a demo to try out early either. The game’s cost is $44.99, per previous reports.

It’s worth mentioning that someone asked if there will be a sale on Super Mega Baseball 2. While it wasn’t confirmed for anytime soon, it was suggested to keep an eye on the online game platform stores for potential price drops.

New Super Mega Baseball 3 reveal video

In addition to the news of the Super Mega Baseball 3 release date, we also got a third reveal video. The new video (below) called “On the Field” features a look at the on-field gameplay changes coming for SMB3. Richard from Metalhead walks fans through what’s coming in terms of the new developments.

SMB3 continues in the tradition of the previous titles in the franchise, but also promises a “more well-rounded and much-improved baseball simulation.” Base-stealing and pick-off mechanics are just some of the exciting changes with this title. Other on-field gameplay aspects touched upon in the video include Batting, Situational Player Traits, Ego, and more. Check it out below for more insight into what’s on the way.

Gamers won’t have to wait too much longer now that we know the Super Mega Baseball 3 release date is May 10, 2020. The SMB3 game cost will be $44.99 for Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs (Steam).
