CD Projekt Red recently confirmed that the studio would not have a booth at Gamescom 2018. The announcement dashed the hopes of many fans who had been expecting the studio to announce more about Cyberpunk 2077. However, while the studio may not have a booth, it seems that they still plan to announce something; in a recent Tweet, the studio has teased some Cyberpunk 2077 news coming tomorrow.

Cyberpunk 2077 News Coming Tomorrow?

CD Projekt Red recently stated that although they had planned no booth at Gamescom, there would nonetheless be a demo showing. Unfortunately for fans, the demo will be like the one which happened at E3; behind closed doors, with only a select audience of journalists and the like. However, it appears that fans may yet see something new from CD Projekt Red. The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account has posted the following teaser; suggesting that the studio is planning some sort of news which will be released tomorrow.

The teaser is reminiscent of those which CD Projekt Red released before E3; it’s possible that the studio might be ready to release another trailer, perhaps even a gameplay trailer. Fans of the upcoming game are certainly eager to see actual footage of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay. The E3 trailer did a great job introducing the setting of Night City. However, we still know very little about the protagonist, other main characters, or even the game’s core story. There is plenty which CD Projekt Red could potentially reveal.

CD Projekt Red Has Teased Upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 News

Various developers and other representatives of CD Projekt Red gave interviews following the studio’s E3 announcement. However, none of those appearances were given this much attention prior to the event, suggesting that tomorrow’s news will be more than just another interview. Whatever the event is, it’s interesting that CD Projekt Red would schedule it for the first day of Gamescom 2018. The decision could leave the studio with the rest of the event to give interviews and release additional details; as happened at E3.
