Season 4 Reloaded, the next major content update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, is due to launch on all platforms tomorrow, on the 15th of July. The update includes the next Zombies map, Mauer der Toten, as well as new multiplayer and Warzone content. Included among that content are two new weapons; the OTs 9 SMG and the Mace.
Season 4 Reloaded: The OTs 9 SMG & Mace
When Season 4 Reloaded rolls out tomorrow, players will be able to immediately get their hands on one of the two new weapons. Like other mid-season weapon releases, the OTs 9 SMG will be available in one of two ways. Either players can complete a specific in-game challenge to unlock it, or alternatively, a unique Blueprint of the weapon can be found in the new “Inside Job” store bundle. Of course, you’ll need to unlock it the first way in order to actually level the weapon up, etc.
The OTs 9 is a powerful new full-auto submachine gun. Treyarch compares it to the Bullfrog when it comes to its fire rate and damage, though it does have a smaller (20-round) magazine than that counterpart. Of course, there are 30- and 40-round optional magazine attachments for those players who prefer a greater ammo capacity. According to Treyarch, the OTs 9 is; “primed to compete with the best SMGs across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.”
Later in Season 4, after the release of the Reloaded update, Treyarch will be releasing the final new weapon of the season. The Mace is a brutal new melee weapon with a two-handed grip and a solid metal head. Like the OTs 9, it will be available via an in-game challenge, or in the “Mystic Scepter” store bundle. In Multiplayer, the Mace is a one-hit kill on enemy players, and it boasts similar power in Zombies too.
