Epic Games has turned Fortnite Battle Royale into one of the most successful video games of all time. Not only is it extremely popular among casual players, but it’s also a huge esports title. Thanks to its unique gameplay, Fortnite has become incredibly popular in the world of competitive gaming.
The good news is that almost everyone can participate in Fortnite’s competitive gameplay. As a matter of fact, Epic is preparing to release a unique Fortnite tournament that will be very interesting. This tournament will have different rules from the regular competitive gameplay and it will be available on all supported platforms.
The new Fortnite tournament is coming on April 26
Epic Games has recently announced the “Super Blitz” Fortnite tournament that will be released on Tuesday, April 26. The new tournament will be played in the Duos mode and it will be available on all platforms, including mobile phones and Nintendo Switch.
What makes this tournament unique is the storm timing modifier. Players will have to move much quicker over the island in order to avoid the storm and win the game. The game developer has already released the Blitz limited-time game mode several times, so most players are familiar with it. On average, each Fortnite match lasts for around 20 minutes, but it’s much quicker in the Blitz mode. Blitz players can grab a Victory Royale in just 10 minutes!

A new update is coming
Epic Games will release a new Fortnite update on Tuesday as well. This will be a smaller content update that will not drastically affect the game and players will not have to update their clients for it.
According to leakers, the Light Machine Gun will return to Fortnite with this update. The game developer has made several changes to it and players will have a chance to use it for the first time since December 2020. This weapon can be extremely deadly in the right hands and there is no doubt that players will use it during the Blitz Fortnite tournament.
