WarioWare Gold’s Opening Cutscene Is Exactly What You Would Expect From a WarioWare Game

Wario and “friends” are back at it again with WarioWare Gold, the biggest microgame collection to grace the Nintendo 3DS, at least when it comes to a WarioWare game. Announced back in March during a Nintendo Direct presentation, WarioWare Gold takes the best games from all of the previous titles and puts them into one delightful and zany package for the Nintendo 3DS. If you’re super excited for the game to release this Summer, then this opening video for the game might make you even more pumped:

As you can hear from watching the prologue movie, the game seems to be fully voiced, which is a first for the 15 year-old minigame focused franchise. We don’t know how the English voice for Wario will sound like in the non-Japanese version but we just hope it doesn’t creep us out and give us nightmares.

Using the two screens on the Nintendo 3DS, you’ll be quickly thrown into some of the craziest situations that will force you to think on your toes. All of the 3DS’ unique features will be used for the 300+ microgames that WarioWare Gold has to offer you, which means that, yes, you will be tilting your system, blowing into that microphone, and using the touchscreen to do whatever it is that Wario and friends need you to do.

We’re very excited to jump back into some frantic and wacky microgames on our 3DS’s. Are you guys excited to get a new iteration in this long-running series? Let us know which game in the franchise is your favorite! We would love to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below!

WarioWare Gold is launching on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on Aug 3 for North America and Europe, while folks in Japan can grab it a day earlier on Aug 2.
