Golden State Warriors’ Eric Paschall, Andrew Wiggins Need NBA 2K21 Updates

The Golden State Warriors are still a popular team, despite seeming to fall off the face of the earth in the past season. They’re looking towards the upcoming NBA Draft where they’ll have a top pick, plus the return of their key All-Stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Meanwhile, two other key players from their roster may be in need of NBA 2K21 updates to better reflect them in the game.

Golden State Warriors’ Eric Paschall has issue with NBA 2K21 ratings

With pretty much any sports simulation game that comes out these days, there will be athletes with gripes about how they’re rated. It is mostly subjective based on whoever comes up with ratings. It’s even a topic that starts arguments on social media, sometimes involving the players themselves.

Cue up Eric Paschall, who believes his NBA 2K21 ratings are wrong. Paschall had some friendly online banter with the New Orleans Pelicans’ Josh Hart about Athleticism. Basically, Hart talked about how he’s got a higher athleticism than teammate Lonzo Ball. Paschall thinks the 2K21 crew got his number all wrong, though.

With a 79 overall rating, Eric Paschall checks in around the top 100 players in the game. Teammate Draymond Green is just ahead with an 80 OVR, while Klay is 91 OVR, and Steph, a 96 OVR. In fact, the Splash Brothers rank amongst the top 15. See our top 28 player ratings here.

Paschall is ranked just outside the top 20 power forwards in the game at No. 21. A second-round pick for the Golden State Warriors in 2019, Paschall averaged 14 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in his rookie campaign. He was sixth in Rookie of the Year voting in 2020 but definitely looks like a player to keep an eye on.

In the new game, Paschall is rated at 80 for Athleticism, per 2Kratings.com’s entry. That particular attribute consists of Speed, Acceleration, Strength, Vertical, Stamina, and Hustle. Interestingly, his teammate Draymond Green ranks just ahead of him at No. 20 for power forwards and also has an 80 Athleticism.

Unfortunately, Paschall won’t have any upcoming Golden State Warriors games to get the ratings adjustors’ attention. The playoffs are still in effect in Florida at the bubble site, while the start date for the next NBA season is still unknown.

Andrew Wiggins’ appearance called out by fans

While Paschall is looking for an NBA 2K21 update for his ratings, teammate Andrew Wiggins may want one for his appearance. Wiggins, who joined Golden State in the D’Angelo Russell trade, hasn’t been vocal about his 2K issues. Still, fans have spoken and brought up how Wiggins’ look in the game is pretty bad, especially his facial hair.

A number of fans took to Twitter to show off Wiggins’ bizarre beard and comment on the strange appearance.

“This is supposed to be andrew wiggins?” a fan on Twitter commented while showing off the blocky beard graphics.

As of this report, 2K has yet to make any online comment about Wiggins’ appearance in the new game.

The good news is Andrew Wiggins will probably get his update with an upcoming patch for the game. If not, it’s possible to use his mobile device to perform a face scan for NBA 2K21. While the feature is for creating a MyPlayer to look like a gamer, Wiggins could get the jump on helping 2K out.
