WWE 2K19 Patch 1.04 Notes, Rising Stars Ricochet Entrance Video Released

It’s not often that there’s a patch update for WWE 2K19, but that is the case. As of Thursday, the WWE 2K19 Patch 1.04 went live for the professional wrestling game. It fixed “general bugs” among other aspects of the game. In addition, the final WWE 2K19 Rising Stars entrance video has been shown off. Here are the latest details on the patch as well as Rising Star Ricochet.

WWE 2K19 Rising Stars Pack: Ricochet Entrance Video

Ever since the announcement of the WWE 2K19 Rising Stars DLC, the 2K crew have been showing off the included superstars’ entrance videos. It started with Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis, followed by Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Lio Rush, and Lacey Evans. Now, the entrance video for “The One and Only” Ricochet is officially online. As seen below, it captures his NXT entrance quite well and uses his theme song.

His likeness also came out pretty accurate. Ricochet is scheduled for a big match at next Saturday’s WWE NXT TakeOver in Phoenix, Arizona, as he’ll defend the North American Championship versus Johnny Gargano. The Championship isn’t around his waist on the entrance, but that’s something gamers can adjust once they get the WWE 2K19 Rising Stars DLC pack. It arrives on January 22 for purchase.

WWE 2K19 Patch 1.04 released for Rising Stars, glitches

In addition to the new entrance video for Rising Stars, WWE 2K19 Patch 1.04 went live as of Thursday. The majority of the fixes are for in-game crashes or glitches, as seen below.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from assigning the Starrcade ’83 arena to a show in Universe.
  • Repaired an issue that prevented the user’s participant changes from saving correctly when returning to the main menu and then returning into the Universe save in the game.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a loss of functionality when trying to reverse Haymaker 1 from a certain distance.
  • Repaired an issue that caused a soft crash when two or more users used custom superstars in a 6-man private match.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a drop in framerate when 3 or more users are in a 6-man private match.
  • Repaired an issue that caused both Superstars to remain legal after a team member performs a Hot Tag during a Two on Two Tag Team match in WWE Online.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a soft crash when using custom Superstars in a custom arena participating for a custom championship when attempting to load into an 8-Man Ladder match.

In addition to those notes above, 2K also says “General bug fixes” on the notes. A lot of gamers are probably wondering what those are, but 2K has yet to reveal that. However, one gamer on the WWE 2K forum showed off a video of a glitch involving moves from the corner with a stunned opponent. Check it out below, as this was uploaded on Jan. 17 so it still appears to be an issue.

It should be interesting to see if WWE 2K19 releases another patch, or this will be the last one. Plenty of gamers believe this will be it until WWE 2K20 makes its way to the masses.
