WWE 2K19 Roster Reveal Shows First 75 Superstars Available In Game

The first batch of WWE 2K19 roster superstars has officially been revealed. With the UFC 3 game already out, professional wrestling fans are now getting a look at only some of the playable superstars they’ll be able to use in WWE’s game. They include some of the current and former champions from WWE’s NXT, Raw, and SmackDown Live brands. There’s also a few notable stars from the UFC who also make their living in WWE.

As of Thursday (Aug. 30), 2K revealed a total of 75 superstars. There was an official roster reveal video streamed on YouTube (below) with superstars Lana, Rusev, and “The B Team” as hosts. The full rosters are now available on the WWE and WWE 2K websites. Element Games posted a complete photo on Twitter as well. There are some notable highlights and “MIA” superstars in the first reveal.

WWE 2K19 Roster Highlights

Among the playable superstars are Alexa Bliss, current Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and “The Beast” Brock Lesnar. Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal is in the game as well as former Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. So is his pal Drew McIntyre.

The game also features former UFC star Ronda Rousey (now the Raw Women’s Champion) for the first time in an official WWE 2K video game title. Some of the early advertising for the game has been focused on her debut. Based on her popularity, it’s a smart move by WWE and 2K.

Mid-carders are also included such as Elias, The B Team, Rusev, No Way Jose, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and Goldust. Women’s superstars include Bayley, Ember Moon, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, and Ruby Riott. The Fashion Police, The Ascension, and Authors of Pain are among tag team highlights.

NXT Highlights, MIA Superstars

Some of the NXT superstars that gamers can use will include NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair, Lars Sullivan, Shayna Baszler, Johnny Gargano, and Velveteen Dream. The Undisputed Era’s Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong are in the game. 2K hasn’t revealed Adam Cole just yet. However, WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunn and inaugural champion Tyler Bate are both on the roster.

As with other 2K video game titles, playable superstars or ratings are announced in waves. This is just part 1 for the WWE 2K19 roster reveal, and it’s clear that some big names are still to come. Among them are part-timers like John Cena and The Undertaker, as well as WWE Champion AJ Styles. After all, he is the cover superstar for this year’s game.

It’s going to be interesting to see if any superstars are missing from the game based on recent events. Enzo Amore comes to mind as a superstar that will probably not be part of the new game. WWE fired Enzo for failing to disclose that he was under investigation for an alleged crime. After his firing, WWE removed his likeness from various merchandise and their road trucks that park outside arenas.

The first WWE 2K19 roster reveal comes just over a month ahead of the game’s release. More superstars should be forthcoming. The Deluxe and Collector’s editions of the game arrive on October 5, while the standard edition drops on October 9.
