WWE 2K20 Showcase Mode Trailer Features Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Sting, & Other Legends

The new WWE 2K20 Showcase made now has an official trailer featuring several of professional wrestling’s biggest legends. In a “passing of the torch” sort of trailer ad, gamers see Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Shawn Michaels, and the legendary Sting convene as a group. It’s quite the moment based on all of the history between the various stars over the years as they gather in a WWE 2K20 Legends ad.

The WWE 2K20 Showcase mode for the upcoming video game puts a spotlight on the “Four Horsewomen.” It’s a faction of women’s superstars including Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and 2K20 cover star Becky Lynch. The mode will let gamers play through various historic moments that occurred during the “women’s evolution” as talented NXT stars moved to the main roster.

In the new WWE 2K20 Showcase mode’s trailer, we pick up at that fancy party again where Becky dropped in through the roof. All sorts of current stars and legends were hanging out in the upscale event at a mansion. This time, we get to see a bit more from Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan, and then three more legends.

Also appearing in the ad, are two of the Four Horsewomen as Bayley and Charlotte are at the party. They’ll be at the center of the upcoming WWE 2K20 Showcase mode along with Sasha and Becky. All four of them held the NXT Women’s Championship and have since gone on to achieve various championships on the Raw and SmackDown programs.

The Man debate brings up WWE legend absent from trailer

The addition of Sting, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels is a welcome surprise. However, what sticks out is Stone Cold and Hogan bringing up how Lynch is called “The Man” now. They say back in their day, there was “no question who the man was” and that brings Sting, Bret, and HBK in to hint it was them.

Of course, Ric Flair had a famous saying, “To be the man, you have to beat the man.” The Nature Boy is suspiciously missing from the video trailer, and recently was mentioned in reports as filing for a trademark for, you guessed it, “The Man.”

The Man is also Becky Lynch’s current gimmick she’s been using since she rose to new popularity and ultimately won both women’s championship belts at WrestleMania 35. She’s now on the cover of WWE 2K20 with another man, Roman Reigns.

However, if Flair is successful, who knows what will happen with Lynch’s current gimmick. One also has to think even though Flair wasn’t in this Showcase trailer ad, he’ll be a part of the playable Legends for the WWE 2K20 roster.

Either way, the new WWE 2K20 Showcase mode will let professional wrestling fans experience the various moments throughout the wrestling careers of the Four Horsewomen. The new trailer ad is a nice passing of the torch from major legends, even if Charlotte’s proud father abstained from appearing in the video.

The new game arrives on October 22, 2019, for PS4, Xbox, and Windows PCs. Get more of the latest WWE 2K20 news here.
