Xbox Live Games with Gold August 2018 Free Games: August Predictions

So what can we expect to be able to play for free in August 2018? Our first prediction is Resident Evil 6. The original Resident Evil 6 came out in 2012, with the remastered version released in 2016 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Being as we’ve already seen Resident Evil 6 featured in Xbox Game Pass last year, it seems likely that it will show up at some point soon in Games with Gold. That’s been done before with Gears of War 1, 2 and 3, The Escapists, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and others.

Another prediction is NBA 2K18. You can currently get both NBA 2K16 and NBA 2K17 through Xbox Game Pass. NBA 2K18 has been free in both June and February of this year through Xbox Live Gold, so it wouldn’t be unusual for it to be offered free through Games with Gold next month.

Finally, we predict Castle Crashers. Castle Crashers first came out in 2008, it was an Xbox 360 exclusive. It took two more years to get to PS3, and another two years to get to PC. Since it still hasn’t been featured through Xbox Games with Gold, it seems like it’s only a matter of time. Maybe it will be the indie title included for free next month.

We’ll just have to wait and see if any of these games are included in the August free games through Games with Gold. Check back with us soon!
