Creation Island: Where to Find this Hidden Treasure in God of War

The “Creation Island” treasure map is one of many in God of War. These maps, like those for Njord’s Oarsmen and the Island of Light, provide a written clue rather than an actual map. That clue is designed to lead you to a hidden treasure somewhere else in the world. In the case of the Creation Island map, that treasure is located in Buri’s Storeroom.

This particular treasure map isn’t exactly easy to find. After you have lowered the water of the Lake of Nine, travel to the Iron Cove. The map can be found on the southernbeach, but getting to it requires traversing a series of Scorn Poles and clearing out several enemies. The map’s clue reads: “Why waste a life worshiping those who were created by another? I honor Buri, first among Gods and he from whom the Aesir sprang. I left him a tribute on the island that honors him.”

Finding the Creation Island Hidden Treasure

The clue is fairly clear, provided you know the names of areas around the Lake of Nine; it is pointing you in the direction of Buri’s Storeroom. The storeroom can be found east and slightly north of Tyr’s Temple, on a small island due south of the Council of Valkyries.

Where to Find Buri's Storeroom in God of War

It is important to note that Buri’s Storeroom won’t be accessible unless you have completed the main story quest, “A New Destination”. Once you have done so, you can enter the storeroom, and you should quickly find yourself in a large, arena-like chamber. To get there, you will need to clear out some enemies from the beach outside. The hidden treasure is buried right in the middle of the arena.

Unlike other hidden treasures, the Creation Island treasure doesn’t offer any Legendary enchantments. Instead, it offers only a Common enchantment. However, it does contain an Eternal Frost resource, 5 Aegir’s Gold, 7 World Serpent Scale Fragments, and 6,000 Hacksilver. All told, it’s a cache well worth collecting.
