All Game Modes in Battlefield Portal and Game Mode Details Modifier

One of the most exciting features to come with the release of Battlefield 2042 is Battlefield Portal. In Portal, you can design your own custom game modes. You can read more about Portal in this post from about a week back. Below, we are going to go over all game modes in Battlefield Portal and Game Mode Details Modifier. As you will discover, it is pretty easy.

Here are All Game Modes in Battlefield Portal and Game Mode Details Modifier

When you start out building a customized game mode in the Battlefield Portal Builder, you have to choose a starting game mode. Once you pick one of those starting game modes, you will have the opportunity to alter the settings using the Game Mode Details Modifier.

Here are the basic game modes you can select:

  • Conquest Large
  • Conquest
  • Rush
  • Free-For-All (FFA)
  • Team Deathmatch (TDM)

You can use predefined modifiers for Conquest, Conquest Large, or Rush. For the remaining modes, the Rules Editor can help you to personalize the modes.

After you select the game mode you want, you can head over to the Game Mode Details Modifier to tweak the settings. What settings can you change? That depends on what mode you selected in the first place. If you selected Conquest or Rush, you will see the following settings available for you to modify:

  • Maximum Human Players
  • Game Time
  • Squad Spawn Type
  • Per Squad Character Limit
  • Reinforcements Removed Per Kill
  • Reinforcement Multiplier

What if you chose FFA or TDM? There will be a few basic menus and sliders you can mess with. But you can use the Rules Editor if you want to go deeper. For your customized game modes, you also can use the Modifiers area of the Builder to change settings for AI, Gameplay, and others.
