AndaSeat Phantom 3 Series Chair Review

Nothing quite makes my day like finding out I get a chance to try a gaming chair from AndaSeat! You may already have read my past reviews for the AndaSeat Captain America Chair and the AndaSeat Ant Man Chair, both of which I loved. Most recently, I was able to try the Phantom 3 Series Chair by AndaSeat. I’m pleased to report this is yet another beautifully designed chair that lets you game in sumptuous comfort. Read on for my full AndaSeat Phantom 3 Series Chair review.

The Luxurious Gaming Chair that is “Just Right”

If you are not already acquainted with AndaSeat, this company has been making high-quality gaming chairs, office chairs and other seats since 2007.

Originally, the company manufactured sports car seats for BMW, Mercedes Benz, and other luxury automobiles.

So, that gives you an idea for the kind of quality you can expect in an AndaSeat chair. The Phantom 3 Series Chair is no exception. Featuring upgraded leatherette and excellent adjustability, it is an ergonomic seat that makes gaming and work lavishly comfortable.

At 182.9 cm tall with a 52 cm seat depth and a 72-74 cm armrest-to-armrest distance, this chair is just the right size to accommodate a wide range of users without being cumbersome.

Assembly

Assembly of this chair is ridiculously fast and easy. Of course, I’ve assembled other AndaSeat chairs in the past. But I am confident even if I hadn’t, I’d have still gotten the chair put together in the same amount of time (I timed myself; it took about 12 minutes).

You do not need any special skills or tools. In fact, the Allen key you require comes in the box along with the bolts (including a couple of spares).

Construction

This chair is as sturdy as any other in the AndaSeat catalog. I could hardly tell the soft leatherette apart from real leather. The stitches look rugged, and the Re-DenseTM Moulded Foam offers great support. I haven’t had it long enough to say for sure, but it seems like it will probably retain its shape for a long time to come.

I got my chair in the “Creamy Pink” color, which is a pleasant pastel hue that fits in nicely with my décor. But it is also available in Elegant Black, Cloudy White, and Ash. All of these options are gorgeous—you really cannot go wrong.

Comfort and Ergonomics

As I already mentioned, this chair contains high-quality foam for support. The overall shape of the chair also contributes to its ergonomic design, helping to align your spine properly. It comes with a medium head pillow and XL lumbar pillow to further support the curvature of your spine.

Both the pillows are removable. I like the neck pillow (I have neck alignment problems, so I need something like this), so I keep it strapped in place. But the lumbar pillow is a bit big for me. Also, it does not stay put (why did they not include a strap for this one?).

You can adjust the chair between 90 ~160°. Personally, I keep it around 90° at all times since I am always working or gaming while I am in it, but if you wanted to kick back and take a nap, this chair is ready for it.

Pros of the Phantom 3 Series Chair:

  • Assembly is fast and easy. Even if you are working by yourself, it shouldn’t take you more than 10-15 minutes to put the chair together.
  • The materials and construction are robust. You will love how luxurious the leatherette feels, and appreciate the attention to detail with every component of the design.
  • The chair is comfortable and ergonomic. It provides the back and neck support you need to support your joints through long sessions.
  • You can adjust the armrests as well as the tilt of the seatback.
  • The design is pleasing to the eye. It is sleek, modern and elegant, and all of the color options are stunning.
  • The size of the chair is perfect. It can support users who are up to 6 and a half feet tall and who weigh up to 330 pounds. Even with this excellent capacity, however, it is not too large or unwieldy.

Cons of the Phantom 3 Series Chair:

  • The lumbar pillow may be a little large for some users. The company also failed to include a strap for it.

Final Verdict:

That wraps up my AndaSeat Phantom 3 Series Chair review. As you can see, I was actually pretty hard-pressed to even think of any drawbacks for this seat. The issue with the lumbar pillow is quite minor, and does not even concern the chair itself.

With its comfortable dimensions, ergonomic design, and wide range of adjustability, this chair is ideal for minimizing fatigue during long hours of gaming or work. Given my past experience with AndaSeat chairs, I am certain that this one will continue to offer great support for many years to come.
