EA has officially announced new details regarding the Battlefield 1 summer update. The upcoming patch for the game is going to be a huge one, which is not surprising given that the next entry in the series, Battlefield V, will be releasing just a few short months from now. It seems that this update could be the last major hurrah for Battlefield 1 in terms of content changes before its successor arrives.
The Battlefield 1 summer update will feature quite a lot of changes including, most importantly, 4K support for the Xbox One X version of the game. Better late than never, huh? The PS4 Pro version of the game has enjoyed the higher resolution support since the game’s launch but this will be the first time Xbox One X users will be able to enjoy native 4K resolutions for the game on their consoles.

As for what else the Battlefield 1 summer update will entail when it releases other than 4K support for Xbox One X, we aren’t sure just yet. This news was released this morning by the official Battlefield Twitter page, teasing more info on the update coming very, very soon. In fact, we’ll know more about it tomorrow.
There will be an exclusive Battlefield 1 summer update livestream tomorrow July 31 on the game’s official Twitch page, giving even more details on what the summer update will bring with it. If you aren’t able to make it to the livestream in time, we will have all of the relevant info here on VGR as soon as possible so make sure to check back here.
The Battlefield 1 summer update livestream will be an hour long and go live at 4 pm EST/1 pm PST and so on. Make sure to adjust your timezone accordingly so that you don’t miss out on everything that is announced about the upcoming summer update.
