All 7 New Battlefield 5 Trial by Fire Special Assignments

With the launch of Firestorm and the Battlefield 5 Trial by Fire post-launch content chapter, DICE’s latest game is getting a lot of new content. Part of that new content is, of course, 40 new Chapter Ranks and 7 new Battlefield 5 Special Assignments. You can acquire these assignments as you progress through the Chapter Ranks, and they are certainly worth doing. After all, you can earn huge chunks of Chapter XP each time you complete one.

Battlefield 5 Special Assignments #1: Dirty Work

This first assignment requires you to complete either one of two objectives. Either you need to kill 25 enemies total, or kill a total of 15 enemies in a single round. Do this, and you’ll be rewarded with 7,400 Chapter XP.

Battlefield 5 Special Assignments #2: Ready to Go

The second challenge also only requires you to complete one of the two possible objectives. Your first option is simply to play five rounds of any game mode in Battlefield 5. Alternatively, you can complete ‘Ready to Go’ by winning two rounds of any game mode. This will reward you with 7,400 Chapter XP.

Battlefield 5 Special Assignments #3: Focused Fire

Another simply challenge, the third special assignment only requires you to complete one of the two objectives. Either kill five enemies with your secondary weapon, or kill three enemies with headshots using your secondary weapon. Once again, the reward for completion is 7,400 Chapter XP.

Battlefield 5 Special Assignments #4: Among the Ashes

For the fourth special assignment, players will actually need to engage with the new Trial by Fire content. Specifically, you need to play Firestorm. You need to either open a supply drop in a Firestorm match, or alternatively, you can finish in at least 32nd place in a Firestorm match. Either challenge will complete the assignment and earn you another 7,400 Chapter XP.

Battlefield 5 Special Assignments #5: Marked for Death

The final three special assignments are a little tougher than the first four. Marked for Death requires you to complete any two of three possible objectives. Kill 25 enemies while you’re in an objective area, kill 20 enemies in a single round, or kill 10 enemies in a single life. Once two of these challenges are complete, you’ll earn 14,500 Chapter XP.

Battlefield 5 Special Assignments #6: Trailblazer

Like Marked for Death, to complete Trailblazer you must complete two of three possible objectives. You must kill ten enemies in Firestorm, revive a single squad member in Firestorm, and/or activate a Vehicle Breakout in Firestorm. Complete any two of these and you’ll get another 14,500 Chapter XP.

Battlefield 5 Special Assignments #7: Dirty Work

The final special assignment, once again, requires you to complete two of three different objectives. This time around, however, they’re all relatively different. Firstly, you can kill 20 enemies while you’re in an objective area, in a single life. Secondly, you can win 10 rounds of any game mode. And finally, you can finish at 8th place or better in a Firestorm match. Any two of these and you’ll complete the final special assignment and earn a massive boon of 30,000 Chapter XP.
