A New Behind-the-Scenes Witcher Podcast Starts Next Week

By now, fans have had plenty of time to watch Netflix’s new Witcher series. Indeed, the series became the most in-demand series in the world shortly after its release, making it one of Netflix’s biggest releases of 2019. Now, the show’s huge audience will get the chance to hear more about how the show was created; Lauren Hissrich, the series’ showrunner, has announced a new behind-the-scenes Witcher podcast which will be starting next week.

The Upcoming Behind-the-Scenes Witcher Podcast

The new behind-the-scenes Witcher podcast, which is being produced by Netflix, will be available via Pocket Cast, Spotify, Stitcher, and Apple Podcasts. You can find the full list of sites where you can find it here. The first episode is due to air on the 8th of January, in a few days’ time. The podcast, which will be hosted by Brandon Jenkins, will span three episodes; each featuring discussions with many of the cast and crew who worked on the series. The podcast is a continuation of a 3-episode podcast series which Netflix released in June-July for Stranger Things season 3.

At present, it’s unknown exactly who the podcast will be talking to. However, the podcast description written by Netflix does mention; “the writers, production designers, armourer, and so many more […]”. If it conforms to the format of the Stranger Things podcast, each episode should be around 35 minutes long. Certainly, it should be a very interesting podcast for fans who want to get a look behind-the-scenes of The Witcher.

Behind-the-Scenes Witcher Podcast Announced 2

Although The Witcher has received mixed reviews from critics, the show has gotten an extremely positive reception from the general audience. Given its enormous success, surpassing Disney’s The Mandalorian to become the most in-demand series following its release, Netflix is very likely to prioritise production of its second season. Rumours from 2019 suggested that a second season had already been greenlit before the first was even released.
