Bethesda Lays Out Five Ways for ESO Players to Prepare for the Wolfhunter DLC

The Wolfhunter DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online is less than two weeks away from release. As Bethesda announced earlier this week, the DLC is scheduled to launch on the 13th of August. As fans get ready for the new release, Bethesda has published a list of five tips to help players prepare; what they should do prior to the DLC’s launch.

Bethesda’s Tips for Players to Prepare for the Wolfhunter DLC

The first and most obvious piece of advice from Bethesda is for players to get a team together. Although the Wolfhunter DLC doesn’t add any entirely new regions, it does include two new group dungeons; March of Sacrifices and Moon Hunter Keep. These dungeons are designed for four-player groups; players should think about getting a well-balanced team together and decent supplies of consumables. Bethesda also recommends testing your team’s abilities in other dungeons; “you should first test your mettle against other DLC dungeon packs like Dragon Bones or Horns of the Reach – they’ll provide a similar challenge.”

Bethesda Suggests Training the Fighter's Guild Skill Line for Wolfhunter

The second piece of advice Bethesda has to offer is for players to face Faolchu the Reborn. This powerful lycanthrope appears in the “Ripple Effect” quest in the Glenumbra Moors. To access that quest, you’ll first need to complete “A Duke in Exile”, which can be found in Aldcroft, located in Glenumbra. Players should also look to train their Fighters Guild Skill Line, as it can grant bonuses against werewolves. “Abilities like Trap-Beast are a no-brainer,” explains Bethesda; “allowing you to stop a werewolf mid-pounce and deal some nice damage-over-time. However, you could also make good use of Silver Bolts and its morph Silver Leash, allowing you to reduce a beast’s movement speed AND pull them towards you.”

If players don’t want to be expert werewolf hunters, they could simply become werewolves themselves. The Werewolf Skill Line can be bought from the Crown Store or acquired by being bitten by a werewolf. (Or a werewolf player with the Bloodmoon passive ability.) Once you have the curse, simply complete the “Hircine’s Gift” quest to become a full-fledged werewolf. Items like Savior’s Hide, Hide of the Werewolf, and Hircine’s Veneer can also be used to boost your werewolf abilities.
