Where to Find All Loot and Collectibles in God of War’s Mason’s Channel
One of many areas adjoining the Lake of Nine, The Mason’s Channel can be seen very early in God of War. However, this area, located beyond Njord’s Oarsmen on the north side of the lake, will be sealed off until the story quest, “The Magic Chisel”. Beyond the Channel lies Thamur’s Corpse, but before you move on, it is worth scouring the Mason’s Channel to get “The Anatomy of Hope” Favor.
The Mason’s Channel begins just past Njord’s Oarsmen. These statues are the destination in the “Njord’s Oarsmen” hidden treasure, if you have already acquired the relevant map. If not, the map can be found in the lower deck of the raider ship in Northri Stronghold, during the “Family Business” Favor.
Within the Mason’s Channel
Travelling north from Njord’s Oarsmen, you will enter The Mason’s Channel. To pass further north, you’ll be required to open a sizable gate. On the left-hand side of the Channel’s beach is a wooden structure where you can find a wheel. Turning this wheel will open the gate, but before you do, take a moment to speak to the Wayward Spirit located nearby. That Spirit will give you the “Anatomy of Hope” Favor. You will need to complete that Favor to get 100% completion of The Mason’s Channel.
When you turn the wheel, the gate ahead will open. However, an Ogre will also emerge from a cliff near the Wayward Spirit, along with a pair of Dark Elves. This trio can be troublesome to deal with. However, if you use unarmed attacks against the Ogre, you will raise its stun meter faster than with Kratos’ axe. Once it is stunned, you can seize control of the Ogre and rampage through the Dark Elves. Once the three are cleared out, you can pass through the channel and on towards Thamur’s Corpse. There are no other hidden chests or other collectibles to find.
