CD Projekt Red has officially announced the date of the third upcoming episode of Night City Wire, the ongoing behind-the-scenes series about the development of Cyberpunk 2077. Night City Wire Episode 3 will be released next week, on Friday the 18th of September, at 18:00 PM CEST. Moreover, CD Projekt Red has hinted at what the episode will feature.

Night City Wire has been ongoing now for a couple of months, with episodes delving into gameplay mechanics and the game’s soundtrack, among other things. The first episode also featured the announcement of a Cyberpunk 2077 spin-off anime series coming to Netflix; Cyberpunk Edgerunners. According to CD Projekt, the third episode will give fans a closer look at the game’s setting than ever before.
The headline feature of next week’s episode is a “tour around Night City,” which could be the first extended look at the game’s mega-city setting that CD Projekt Red has ever shown. In addition, the episode will feature a look at the creation of the soundtrack, as well as details about the gangs which populate Night City. Many of these will feature as factions or enemies in-game, and include groups like the Animals, Maelstrom, Tyger Clans, and the Voodoo Boys.
Beyond that, fans will have to wait until next Friday to find out what else will feature in the episode. The game itself is now just over two months away from release, after two lengthy delays. As such, it’s likely that there will be at least two more episodes of Night City Wire. That is, unless CD Projekt Red starts releasing more promotional video content as we get closer to the release date. (Certainly a possibility.) Of course, given the massive hype already surrounding the upcoming launch, they don’t necessarily need to go overboard with marketing!
