DICE Launches Battlefield 5 War in the Pacific NVIDIA Video Contest

Following the launch of Chapter 5 of Tides of War, War in the Pacific, DICE has launched another of their video contests. Similar to previous contests run by the studio, the Battlefield 5 War in the Pacific contest challenges players to submit their best clips from the new expansion. Plus, as with previous contests, the prizes up for grabs are some of the best NVIDIA graphics cards currently available!

The New Battlefield 5 War in the Pacific Video Contest

The new Battlefield 5 War in the Pacific video contest is open now, and will remain open until 23:59 PM PDT on the 29th of December. Judging will then take place between the 30th and the 13th of December. When it comes to content, gamers have plenty of creative freedom; their 1-3 minute video can be a montage or a single clip, although it can’t be watermarked or from the game’s cinematics. The clip can’t include copyrighted or 3rd-party music, but all music from the Battlefield 5 soundtrack is fine. In fact, the game’s SoundCloud has all the official music available to use.

As an added stipulation, however, videos must only feature one of the two new Pacific maps; Iwo Jima and Pacific Storm. This is, after all, a contest themed around the game’s newest content! The full submission guidelines can be found here. As with previous contests, DICE are offering winners some very expensive NVIDIA graphics cards as prizes. To be specific, five winners will each receive an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 TI Founder’s Edition Video Card; a card which normally retails for over $1,000.

Videos must be uploaded to YouTube and submitted via a YouTube link. To submit your video, simply visit this page on the official Battlefield website. Whether you enter the contest or not, Battlefield fans have plenty to look forward to both during this month and December. Another new map, the classic Wake Island, is due to arrive soon. Plus, DICE is running weekly challenges with new weapons and more available for players to unlock.
