Elder Scrolls Legends Revamp Includes New Menus, Playmats, & Deck Builder

Ever since Bethesda removed The Elder Scrolls Legends from the control of Dire Wolf Digital, the game’s original developers, and handed it over to Sparkypants Studios, the newcomer studio has been working on a major overhaul of the game. The developers have previously requested patience from fans. However, they have now shown screenshots from the upcoming revamp.

The Upcoming Revamp of The Elder Scrolls Legends

The first glimpse of the overhauled Elder Scrolls Legends was given at E3. However, fans recently got a deeper look at PAX West; where Sparkypants Studios released the screenshots. Moreover, while an exact date has yet to be announced, the studio has said that it should launch before the end of the month; “The wait is almost over!” says the update on the game’s official website; “We’re excited to announce that the new Legends experience will become available to players by the end of September.”

The Game Features New Playmats and Card Borders

The new screenshots highlight the new look and layout of the Legends overhaul. Moreover, it shows several of the new streamlined menus and new features. The main menu will be completely different, with a new layout. It even features a separate menu page optimized for mobile devices. The game’s playmats are all new; “with new aesthetic features and updated card borders”. In addition, the revamp will be adding two significant new features. The first is an overhauled Deck Builder, which will allow players to construct their own decks from all of the cards which they own. The second is a new player profile screen where players can; “compare your statistics, match history, rankings and more.”

One element which the screenshots do not showcase is that the game has been recreated with new code, meaning that it should run better than ever. Sparkypants Studios actually built the overhauled game from scratch rather than simply converting the existing game.
