A Shenmue 3 english dub recording update has been made on the game’s official website. The update confirmed that the recording was between 70 and 80% complete. As such, we might be closer to seeing a final product trailer than we think.
While kickstarter backers wish they could get clearer updates; The development of Shenmue 3 is still going quite well for Ys Net. In fact, the team has shown that they are close to finish their work to deliver the game on August 27. The developers of the game have also gone on record saying that Shenmue 3 will be much bigger than ever as well.
Shenmue 3 English Dub Recording Nearly Complete
Ys Net presented a picture with Corey Marshall (Ryo Hazuki) and Brianna Knickerbocker (Ling Shenhua). For those unaware, Corey has been working on Shenmue 3′ English dub ever since 2015. He’s actually even revealed in late 2018 that he was recording dialogue for the game.
On the other hand, Brianna is a new face entirely. She has been selected from a number of candidates through audio auditions only, and Brianna stunned with her great performance reel. Ling Shenhua has been voiced by different people across the Shenmue series. In Shenmue, she was voiced by Debora Rabbai; in Shenmue 2, she was voiced by Akasha Scholen.
Furthermore, Ys Net has also taken some time to share the recording progress through a video. The video showcases the voice actor recording accompanied from the game director Yu Suzuki. The recording took place at a recording studio over at Los Angeles, California.
