Fire Emblem: Three Houses E3 Wishlist: What Fans Want to Know

With E3 just around the corner and Fire Emblem: Three Houses undoubtedly on Nintendo’s showcase docket the theories are piling up. While Nintendo has offered fans some insight as to the nature of the game there is still much that is unknown about Three Houses and its world. Hopefully, as the spectacle begins in the next week some of the following details will be revealed to the world.

A Fire Emblem: Three Houses E3 Wishlist

There are three key components that are still fairly enigmatic factors in regards to the next entry in the Fire Emblem franchise. Three Houses takes place in the world of Fódlan, where three major kingdoms live in harmony. Given that this was not always the case though, players deserve to know more about the history of Fódlan itself. Additionally, these kingdoms are home to a broad cast of characters who reside at the Officer’s Academy, so naturally, these characters should be introduced in a big way. Finally, the mysterious Church of Seiros clearly plays a big role in Three Houses, but what is the full extent of their prominence?

The Three Kingdoms of Fódlan

Three Houses Features Three Royal Families

The Adrestian Empire, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and the Leicester Alliance are the most important staples of Fódlan. Each represents a symbol of independence, and each waves their banner proudly. The three kingdoms were not always three, however. After waging war with the tyrant Nemesis the Church of Seiros united a broken land into the Adrestian Empire.

Time passed, and as it did certain royal families declared and fought for their independence. Beyond this though, not much is known about the history of the three kingdoms. Once the fighting had stopped the previously embattled nations forged their own legacies. The royal families’ lineage lives on in those leading their respective houses at the Officer’s Academy at the start of the game. Beyond this brief history, there are plenty of mysteries to be solved regarding the three kingdoms.

The Cast of Characters

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Features A Host of Characters

As previously mentioned, the three kingdoms of Fódlan are represented by the three houses of the Officer’s Academy; the Black Eagles, the Blue Lions, and the Golden Deer. Each house is home to a plethora of students, and each is lead by Edelgard von Hresvelg, Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, and Claude von Riegan respectively. While tidbits of information are known about each character we have a distinct lack of substantial knowledge.

In addition to learning more about the house leaders, learning more about the expansive list of students would also be a treat. Considering the fact that the protagonist will be the teacher and mentor to these students, it would make sense for Nintendo to offer a look into why fans should feel invested in them from the start. It would also be helpful to unveil more details surrounding the other staff members and denizens of the renowned Officer’s Academy. If Nintendo does indeed intend on offering up some nuggets of information on the various characters in Three Houses fans would no doubt be delighted.

Even more welcome would be a more detailed look at how the protagonist will interact with these characters. Snippets of conversation have been revealed and the teaching mechanics have been teased, but fans want more. With a look into how players will engage with the characters as a professor and mentor Nintendo could consider this a complete conference.

The Church of Seiros

The Church of Seiros Is Central To Three Houses' World

By far the most powerful entity present in the game as far as the public currently knows is the Church of Seiros. As previously discussed, the church is the force that defeated Nemesis in order to save Fódlan. The religious order also brought balance to the three kingdoms and ended their years of war waging. And yet, as is the case with both incredible feats, it’s still unknown how the church accomplished this.

The Church of Seiros also hosts the Officer’s Academy at the Garreg Mach Monastery in the center of Fódlan. This central location, along with the presence of Three Houses’ primary setting, indicates the importance of the church. Given this limited scope of the order’s true role, there is plenty to dive into during Nintendo’s presentation at E3. With a world of potential at their fingertips, fans eagerly await Nintendo’s update on Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
